Pricing.
Windows.
Our minimum charge for windows is £35 plus VAT. This would normally cover up to 7 windows inside and out, assuming that there are no complications.
The following factors may raise the price of a window clean;
- More glass.
- Secondary Double-Glazing – this essentially doubles the amount of glass that needs cleaning.
- “Stamp” windows – windows which are made up of a number of small panes of glass are time-consuming and, by extension, more difficult.
- Leaded “stamp” windows – these are notoriously difficult to clean.
- Removal of paint, putty, builder's dust etc.
- water-fed poles or hydraulic platforms required.
- Jammed windows – in some cases, it can be extremely difficult to reach the outside of a window safely from the outside.
- Difficult access to certain areas.
- Conservatories
Whilst we are happy to provide a rough estimate over the phone, the only way we can offer a fixed quote before cleaning is by seeing the premises for ourselves.
Carpets.
Our minimum charge for a carpet clean is £80 plus VAT. This would cover (for example) two small rooms and a hallway (assuming there are no complications).
Unfortunately, it is not possible to give an estimate for a carpet clean over the phone with any real degree of accuracy. The number of factors involved (including colour, fabric, condition, length of fibre, staining and so on) mean that any attempt to price such a clean without seeing it first is an exercise in guess-work.
Spring/General Cleaning.
We charge £16 per man-hour plus VAT; our minimum charge for a spring or general clean is £80 plus VAT. This would cover up to five man-hours. Our price ncludes the supply of all materials and labour.
For example, a team of three cleaners working for two hours would be 6 man-hours, or £96 (£112.80 including the VAT).
As with carpet cleaning, it is almost impossible to give an accurate quote for general cleaning without seeing the property first.
